Spooky seven

Halloween is like my total favorite. Who doesn't love dressing up and getting sweet treats! When Sebastian decided he wanted a Halloween costume party I was all about it. I had so much fun with theme! Before we had kids and got married I would get together with My now mother in law and throw a Halloween bash for chase every year! It was always so much fun but we always went super scary and that doesn't fly no more. My mom still loves to remind me how I would say that our kids will like scary because we like it. Umm nope. And now I don't like it either haha. So it was kind of tricky to make it spooky with out being scary. I think it turned out so cute and the kids (and parents) had a blast!

My favorite part of decorating for this party was the floating witches hats! So simple and it turned out really cool looking.

I scored one day waiting in line at carpool when I saw some guys throwing out some old shutters. I had to have them! With a couple coats of paint, some garland, and a hocus pocus sign and the cutest backdrop was made! I love how it came out! So easy and didn't cost me a thing.

Happy birthday Sebastian. We love you to the moon and back and you will forever be my little prince.

Houston tripping

This year Chase's great grandfather turned 95, so we made the trip out to Houston, Texas to celebrate with all the family. Because we didn't really take any kind of beach trip/vacay with the kids we treated this long weekend as our little family getaway. We had so much fun getting away to a different town to see family and some old friends of ours. Here are some snapshots of our trip!
Spent the morning at the beautiful Houston zoo:
Happy birthday grandpaw!
Ellie and axels first boat ride!
Pool fun:

Ikea trip with Jessica & Mike and Kyle & Amy.
We love the McConkeys so much and hopefully we can get together more often.

We ended our trip with some great Mexican food and a long trip home.
I'm so glad to be back in my own bed but I'm excited to be sailing away for a fun cruise with some of my favorite people. And no kids! #imready
