Making six look good.

My first born is six. Let me take a moment and let that one sink in.

Ah, craziness. We celebrate the day with balloons and doughnuts!
As a Mccloud tradition we packed up the kids and spent the morning at Chuck e cheese! (Little did they know we would be leaving for Disney the next morning but more of that later)

To my Bashy Boy,
You have brought me so much joy these last six years and I can not imagine life before you. You are the silliest and funniest kid I know. You have such a sweet and compassionate  heart. You make the world a better place and I am so lucky to be your momma. I love you to the moon and back doodle bug.

Backyard up dates.

My goal for our yard is to be a space where the kids can come out and have fun and get dirty. When we first moved into our house our yard was like a big dirt pit. It would make me so crazy. I never wanted to go out in risk of getting Sebastian dirty. I was never a kid to get dirty and sweaty, so for me it was way overwhelming to let him play back there. But one day I just decided "let him play, let him fall, let him get dirty." Now I still get totally icked out sometimes but they have fun.

We decided to make our back yard a place for the kids to have fun and use their imaginations. This past Saturday my father in law came over to help Chase with some house stuff so of course I had some honey do's for them to do after they were finished with their projects. First it was the framed chalkboard on the fence.

Then the balance beam. I have plans to paint it red for bash, because that is his favorite color.

Then I had Chase cut and nail some wood scraps together so I can do a fun pallet style wall art for the back porch. I'll post a picture of that after I paint it. And the fun part about the wood that we used for these projects are wood that we pulled out of our dining room when we redid our kitchen/dining room.

My mom bought me a picnic table for my birthday and I have some big fabulous plans for the color. I'll post more on that later.

Now off the enjoy some backyard living!

Adventure is out there!
