Being thankful.

So this past Sunday at church the thanksgiving message was about, get ready for it, giving thanks. They showed this amazing video by soulpancake about how when you tell someone thank you and show gratitude to others in turn it makes you happier. It was amazing I highly recommend looking it up on YouTube. I totally agree with what they where saying. Whenever I say thank you or really share with someone about how they  affect my life or my families life, to see the love and happiness in their eyes is so wonderful. Before I had kids I knew one thing that I would want them to be, is thankful. In our house showing gratitude is a big house rule. So yesterday we celebrated thanksgiving with both sides of our family. First we went to chases Nannys house for his family's lunch. I can not even express the love I have for these people.  We had a great time eating, laughing and letting the kids go nuts in the bounce house.  We left there to head over to my parents house for dinner with my side. I was so stuffed and sleepy that I didn't take any pictures of our time there! I have so much to be thankful for, not just today but every day. I have an amazing husband that takes such good care of us. He goes above and beyond to make sure that we are well taken care of. He really spoils me and shows me love even on days when I don't deserve it.  This year has been such a world wind but I have loved every moment. i am thankful my babes are all healthy and happy. I am enjoying every little moment of being their momma. We have such wonderful and supportive families that are so involved in our lives it's hard not to give thanks for them. another thing on our thankful list is the friendships that we have made over the years. we love doing life and growing all of our families together. cant wait to see what the rest of 2014 and 2015 holds!

family thanksgiving photo!

silly one is always a must!
started our day with coloring and the macys parade.
Our cousins from California came to town for a visit.

Axel with aunt michell, gigi and great granny.

so this year i opted out of black friday. its crazy to me that the day after and sometimes day of thanksgiving we would leave family to save 75 bucks on some crap that we probably don't need.so instead we filled our day with sleeping in, homemade breakfast ( by daddy), playing in the yard, roasting some mallows, and stuffing ourselves again at mimi and pawpaws house. just the another great day with the family.

sunday funday

So we have been all out this weather latetly! down south we really do not have much of a fall but man we sure did get a few wonderful weather days this year. i dont know about you but cooler weather just puts me in a better mood! fall/winter weather also has the best wardobore options too! I mean look how cute these two are!
What is the first thing you do when the weather changes? jump in the leaves of course! Papa bear grabbed the leave blower made a huge pile and voila! instant joy!

a couple of sundays ago we invited our best buddies the Nuckles over for smores sunday! how can you have smore of nothing? (anybody?haha)  there is just something so special about sharing sweet over a cozy fire with great friends. Some of us even got really crazy and subbed the chocolate bar with some left over halloween candy. i'll just say a reeses smore is life changing. when it came time to get our smore on my camera was no where in sight but i did get these cute shots of the girls playing in the leaves!

i mean really, how cute are these two!

pumpkins, goblins, and playtime

in the mccloud house Octobers are always busy. Sebastian's birthday is in the beginning of the month all the Halloween fun around town and then Chase's birthday the day before Halloween.  and of course Halloween night its self. This year we skipped going out to the big pumpkin patch that is about an hour away and choose to do a quick little trip to the church by our house for some pumpkin picking! the kids had a great time running through the rows and picking up every pumpkin they could find. Chase has been taking both eliana and sebastian jogging lately, so one sunday we all headed out to city park for a morning of fun! Chase took ellie and bash while axel and i enjoyed the beautiful weather lounging in the park! after the race we headed over to the playset and introduced eliana to her very first beingets! lots of fun was had. Every year we also have a Halloween party with our family and friends but this year we had to cancel because the week of everyone was sick. But when it came time to trick or treat everyone still got dressed and had a great time trick or treating in our neighborhood and pigging out on candy and food.

it was a bash, it was a monster truck bash.

so after Sebastian's last birthday. i mean like the day after. he informed me that he wanted a monster truck party for his fifth birthday. so of course i started to plan immediately. I love a good theme! My in-laws ( who are so amazingly awesome!) graciously offered to host the party at their house this year which was awesome! they have this really cool wooded lot next door that made the perfect "monster truck" race track. like always we had way to much food and so much fun. My little man had such a fun day with all his family and friends. I love watching this crazy little dude navigate life. he has such a passion for his family. He loves to learn and he has such a silly side. God is doing amazing work in your little heart Bashy boy and i am enjoying watching every moment of it!

Thank you so much to all the people that took the time to come out to Bash's birthday! he had such a great time. i mean just look at his smiling face! and thanks to all the friends and family that offered to bring a dish too! i am so thankful for all the people that are speaking love and showing love into the lives of my babes! it really does take a village!
